Sliding glass door rollers – To repair sliding glass door rollers, starting with lubricate the rollers with penetrating oil if your sliding door is stuck. Remove any dirt in the groove that may impede the movement of the door. After that, adjust the rollers if the glass door angles or protrudes as it moves along the track. Look for the small holes in the door near the top and bottom rollers. Depending on the design of the door, the adjustment holes may be on the front of the door or along the edge. If your door is too loose, insert a small Phillips screwdriver into each hole and turn it counterclockwise to extend the rollers.

Turn the screwdriver clockwise to retract the rollers if the door protrudes. Third, lift the bottom of the sliding door straight up to remove the bottom of the rollers from the track. Pull the door down and away from the top track to loosen the top rollers. Place the door on a sturdy table or worktop so you have a clear picture of the rollers. Fourth, inspect the old sliding glass door rollers and replace any broken, cracked or worn out rollers. To remove the rollers, remove the screws over the adjustment holes. Do not try to separate the door frame from the glass when pulling the rollers out.

Fifth, remove the mounting screws along the top and bottom of the door opening if the tracks show signs of damage or wear. Install replacement slots and tighten the screws to hold the new slots in place. Last, tilt the bottom rollers toward you. Put the top set of rollers in the top slot when you are ready to reinstall the glass door. Lower the bottom of the door until the rollers snap into the bottom slot. Repeat step 2 to adjust the rollers if the door does not fit properly into the slots. And the sliding glass door repair was done.
