Stone Garden Benches – There is no better way to enjoy your beautiful garden than by sitting in the middle of it on a leisure afternoon. The construction of a garden stone bench is a project that can be completed in a single afternoon and is one that will add beauty and functionality to your space.

Create a scheme where your bank will be and dig in the dirt about one or two inches deep. Place the sand in the trench and sprinkle it with water. Lightly placate the entire area. Use the cutting saw stone to cut the top and bottom of the rectangular stones. Each stone must be perfectly flat at the top and bottom. Line of the outside of the trench filled with sand with rectangular stones. Mix one part Portland cement and four parts sand mason in a bucket.  When the mortar can be turned into a ball without falling apart, it is ready to be applied.

Apply the mortar to the top of each stone. Use an equal amount of mortar on each stone to maintain the overall height, even. Immediately stack the second row of stones on top of the first one. Place the second row of stones so that the gaps between the stones in the first level are under the middle of the stones in the second level. Continue adding rows of stone until the wall is just below the seat height. When the stones seats are in place, use the pallet to remove any mortar that might have leaked out.
